Cowboys WATCH: Dak Off-Script TD Pass to CeeDee Lamb; Dallas Leads Lions
The Dallas Cowboys have claimed an early lead over the Detroit Lions in a potential postseason preview, as quarterback Dak Prescott made one of the best plays of his career.
Despite being backed up inside his own 10-yard line and facing a third-and-13, Prescott needed at least just a first down to avoid each of the Cowboys' first two drives ending without points.
The drive could've ended in disaster as the Lions brought pressure on third down, which saw a defender come free, running straight at Prescott, putting him at risk of a sack for potential safety.
However, not only was Prescott able to evade the oncoming rush, but he got out of the pocket and kept his eyes downfield before finding CeeDee Lamb for a 92-yard touchdown pass.
Prescott's magical touchdown pass followed up an opening drive interception, where he was once again forced to go off-script due to the Detroit rush and tried to force a ball to Lamb, resulting in an interception by Ifeatu Melifonwu.
