Dak Prescott Reveals 'All-Time High' in Cowboys' 'Texas Coast Offense'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott feels good about the offense's current state as the New York Giants on Sunday night comes into focus.

One of the most significant changes this offseason for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys was coach Mike McCarthy taking over the play-calling duties from Kellen Moore.

There has been a lot of change in how the offense is run in McCarthy's "Texas Coast Offense," but Prescott is already feeling at home with the game plan for the New York Giants on Sunday night getting fine-tuned.

"My comfort level is at an all-time high," Dak said. "Our (game) plan is in right now; just went out there and practiced it. Obviously, we'll cross our T's and dot our I's and iron out the rest of it over these next couple of days."

Getting Dak comfortable in the new scheme is crucial, and with the season opener vs. the Giants, there is no room for knocking the rust off. It's for real now.

With a collection of weapons to utilize in CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup, Tony Pollard, Jake Ferguson, and Deuce Vaughn, just to name a few, many have the Cowboys going on a deep playoff run.

It has been a long time for Dallas when it comes to experiencing the ultimate success in the playoffs, and with the Super Bowl on his mind, Prescott has constant reminders of where he wants this team to end up as seasons end.

"I know where we want to go," Prescott said. "I keep that in the forefront of my mind, whether it's the playlist that I play on my phone to name something to remind me. I've got a lot of just little different reminders that reminds me of Vegas, reminds me of where I want to be at the end of this year."

That is certainly a lofty goal, but it isn't one that is out of reach for this version of the Cowboys. Stacked with talent on both sides of the ball, many feel this is Dallas' best chance to end their now infamous drought in recent memory.

There will be many roadblocks in the way, but in the opinion of those who know him, none that Prescott and his mental strength can't overcome.

It's a long road to get to the Super Bowl in Vegas, but it's one that begins with a single step against the Giants on Sunday night. ... maybe aided by an "all-time high'' in Cowboys "comfort.''
