Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Record in Jeopardy?

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott holds the NFL record for most passes without an interception to start a career, but the mark could be broken this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a number of accolades on his NFL resume.

Through seven seasons, Prescott has two Pro Bowl appearances and Walter Payton Man of the Year honors to his name. However, most remember him for his historic rookie campaign in 2016.

It's been seven years since Dak's remarkable rookie year, but one of the records he holds from that year is in jeopardy of being broken in the next week or two.

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has taken the league by storm as a rookie. He's fourth in the league in passing after Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins), Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) and Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings). He's also thrown for 12 touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception through four games, something Prescott also did in his rookie year.

Prescott's 176 completions without an interception to start a career still stands as the best mark in NFL history ... but Stroud is right on his heels ready to make the jump.

Through four games, Stroud has thrown 151 passes and zero interceptions. If he can throw 26 this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons, he'll surpass Prescott and seal one of the greatest starts to a career in NFL history.

In order to get to Prescott's spot on the leaderboard, Stroud will have to also surpass Tagovailoa (152), Kyle Allen (159) and Tom Brady (162).

If Stroud continues this strong trajectory, there may be two high-profile quarterbacks big enough for the Lone Star State.
