Cowboys Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence: Top-20 NFL DE's Ranked

The Dallas Cowboys possess a dangerous two-man tandem of Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, but where do they rank in PFF's edge rusher rankings?

"Elite'' is defined as being "superior in quality, rank and skill'' ... Or, better known as Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons since entering the NFL in 2021.

Compiling 26.5 sacks and 149 tackles in 33 career games, Parsons is simply on a different stratosphere with the impact he brings on a weekly basic.

With defensive mastermind Dan Quinn - and Parsons himself - unafraid of the idea of moving the "Lion-backer" around defensively next season, it's a mind-boggling thought that he could take his game to another level.

And for his dominance over the past two seasons, PFF recently ranked Parsons as the No. 2 edge rusher in the NFL - coming in only behind the Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett.

"Parsons finished top five in both pass rush grade (92.2) and win rate (19.6%) over the last two years and is No. 1 in the league in our pass rush productivity metric," PFF writes.

Also making the list for Dallas? Veteran edge and Cowboys great DeMarcus Lawrence, coming in at No. 19 following his Pro Bowl nod and six sack campaign a season ago.

"Lawrence leads off the Tier 4 list," PFF writes. "His pass-rush stats have faded a bit over the past few seasons, but he’s one of the top all-around edge players in the league due to how good he is against the run. He’s recorded 85.1 run defense and 88.1 pass rush cumulative grades since 2020."

Over the past two seasons, Parsons and Lawrence have combined for three Pro Bowl appearances, 35.5 sacks and 47 tackles for loss - proving to be a lethal two-man punch that come at offenses from multiple angles ... in what PFF says is in a top-20 manner.
