FRISCO - Ezekiel Elliott will be the first to tell you that he has experienced a full and joyous NFL career, absent really only one thing - that elusive Super Bowl win. But the former Dallas Cowboys' two-time NFL rushing champ, who just ended his season in New England, is newly thankful for another pleasure.

“I feel very lucky to play for the best coach ever,” Elliott said, reflecting on what might be both the Patriots goodbye for the player and the coach.

Despite the Patriots finishing just 4-13, their worst mark in Belichick’s 24 years in charge, Elliott truly did find some happiness in Foxboro. Elliott signed a one-year deal with New England last offseason after being cut by Dallas, and the running back played in every game this year.

‘Ridiculous!’ Belichick - Cowboys ‘Dream’ - Reacts to Rumors’

Belichick is of course on the hot season despite the fact he has led the Patriots to six Super Bowl championships and nine Super Bowl appearances while also guiding the franchise to 17 AFC East division titles.

He is widely considered the greatest coach in NFL history. ... and now we know we can add Zeke to his list of fans and supporters after he is able to label his 2023 experience under Belichick a “fun season.”
