Dallas Cowboys Icon Troy Aikman Reveals View on Coach Jim Harbaugh NFL Move

FRISCO - University of Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh was in attendance for his brother's playoff game in Baltimore on Saturday afternoon, and Troy Aikman was there, too, broadcasting the Houston Texans visit - what turned out to be a 34-10 Ravens win - for ESPN.

And if you "listen between the lines,'' you not only hear Aikman endorsing Harbaugh as he considers a coaching return to the pros ... you sort of hear Aikman predicting that the move is going to happen.

“I hope we can see him in the NFL next year,'' Aikman raved about Jim, the brother of Ravens coach John. "He’s going to make somebody a heck of a football coach. He won everywhere he's been.”

Of course, the good people at Michigan - where Jim just won a national title - think he'd make a "heck of a football coach'' while staying right there in Ann Arbor.

Cowboys Wanted Belichick, But Coach Is Scared Of 'Big Dallas Media'?

But Aikman is right about Harbaugh's track record, in the NFL and in college.

Jim Harbaugh was in attendance with some of his kids, supporting his brother John, and doing do between job interviews as he has met with both the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rumors have Bill Belichick as the Falcons front-runner, and Harbaugh's ties to L.A. and to the Chargers make that a logical move. There remains the suspicion that Harbaugh is using the NFL as leverage to sweeten his deal at Michigan, and that may be true.

But we don't think that's what Aikman thinks is about to happen.
