Cowboys' Micah MVP Vote? Parsons Jabs 49ers QB Brock Purdy

Dallas Cowboys' Micah MVP Vote? Parsons Jabs San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy

FRISCO - We wonder sometimes if Micah Parsons, who is obviously a "football superfan,'' forgets he's also Micah Parsons, a "football superstar'' of the Dallas Cowboys ... and that the transition between the two roles is not always a smooth one.

Is it cool that "Parsons the fan'' spend Christmas watching Brock Purdy's four-interception failure in the San Francisco 49ers' blowout home loss to the Baltimore Ravens?

Sure! He's just like us!

Is it cool - or better put, advisable, that "Parsons the player'' chose to log on to social media (his home away from home, it seems) so he can post a critique of Purdy with a jab at the QB's MVP legitimacy?

"Down 21 (points) and there no (downfield) shots or development throws!'' Micah wrote of Purdy as the Niners were trailing big. "Should tell you all you need to know!''

Maybe. But should it be Micah - a star on a Cowboys team that during his time in Dallas has done nothing but lose to the 49ers - who takes on the job of saying so?

A number of fans responded to Parsons' post, pointing out that Dallas is 0-3 against San Francisco during Micah's time here, including two playoff losses and this season, a 42-10 beatdown.

"Micah the player'' is surely aware of this; essentially insisting that Purdy doesn't have the talent to lead the 49ers to a comeback win seems like a foolish donation to the bulletin board in San Francisco ... where the Cowboys are likely to have to play again if they advance in the playoffs.

Does "Micah the fan'' not care?

Is Purdy is no longer the MVP frontrunner of the 2023 NFL season thanks to that loss? Maybe ... But then can't "Parsons the player'' see that the same rule would apply to his own QB, Dak Prescott?

Cowboys Are 'Imploding!' Claims 'Source'

Parsons doesn't hold back when it comes to tweeting about ... well, anything. He's written and spoken about he himself wanting to win MVP. He's written and spoken in ways that suggest he believes his sack totals would be greater if the NFL refs weren't biased against him. And on and on and on ...

"Parsons the fan'' is a barrel of laughs, no doubt.

"Parsons the player''? Micah is a uniquely gifted player, no doubt, who has a lot of work ahead of him to back up the "lot of words'' created by him.
