'It's Sick!' Dallas' Micah Parsons Blasts 'Fake Analysts' For Criticism of Dak Prescott's Cowboys

Any story can change in the blink of an eye in the NFL, and the Dallas Cowboys are just the latest example of that fact.

Before Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, many were hailing the Cowboys as a Super Bowl contender and claiming this year's team was different after winning five straight and thrashing their arch rivals in the Philadelphia Eagles. Then after losing to the Bills, albeit in a blowout, the narrative has shifted to Dallas being soft, unable to win on the road and other harsh criticisms.

Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons has certainly taken notice of the sudden shift, and needless to say, he's not exactly thrilled with it.

"It's almost sick,'' Micah said.

"Everyone just waits for the Cowboys to lose. I saw multiple analysts, people who are fake analysts who somehow got jobs on TV, saying ‘There goes your boy,’" Parsons said on his "The Edge with Micah Parsons" podcast.

"It’s almost to the point where it’s like almost sick that former players are waiting for other current players to fail so that they have something to talk about.

"It’s not even to just get into names. I feel like, at this point, you kind of know who you are."

We do. Shady McCoy of FS1 is the worst offender here, saying not a peep about Dak Prescott when Dallas is winning and then oozing back out of the woodwork after a Cowboys loss.

Other pundits who never played do the same, witness FS1's Skip Bayless putting on lame little skits in his kitchen featuring him throwing Cowboys jerseys into his trash can after losses.

And yes, some in DFW are guilty, too, having cooked up the odd idea that "Interceptions are in Dak's DNA'' ... and then waiting excitedly for a turnover to occur so an "I told you so!'' can be tweeted.

The Cowboys are not only the most popular club in the NFL, but a very "love them or hate them" kind of team. As such, there's never any shortage of fans or media pundits waiting to pounce on them when they lose, especially the way they did on Sunday.

"I’m a fan of the game, right? Whether I’m playing [Bills quarterback] Josh Allen or whoever, at the end of the day, I don’t want to see Josh Allen hurt," Parsons said. "I don’t want to see him fail. I want him to have a continuous career. Obviously, when we’re playing, and we’re lining up, I’m trying to beat him, right? But it seems that a lot of people are just waiting for people to fail."

Dallas has a chance to win back some favor with a key matchup against the Miami Dolphins coming up on Sunday, although it will have to figure out a way to take its home game on the road.

If it does so on this Christmas Eve? The critics will sing "Silent Night.'' If not? Back out of the woodwork they will ooze.
