Cowboys' Micah Parsons An Eagles Fan for Super Bowl?
Dallas Cowboys fans are already experiencing enough agony after being eliminated in the NFC Divisional by the San Francisco 49ers, who were then beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship on Sunday.
But now, Dallas' nightmare is only getting worse.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has admitted his friendship with Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson before, but now arguably Dallas' best player is being a little too open about his desire to see the hated Eagles win Super Bowl LVII over the Kansas City Chiefs as a way to honor the NFC East.
"Love you big bro!" Parsons tweeted to Johnson on Sunday. "Keep going! Not many like you! Definitely not playing like you healthy or with a torn groin! Go win a bowl for our division!"
So much for a heated rivalry.
Parsons, a native Pennsylvanian, understandably has at least some reason to "cheer" for the Eagles in the Super Bowl. But as a primary face of one of the biggest franchise in sports, Parsons' openness about wanting to see Dallas' longtime rival win a title could land him in Cowboys Nation jail for dishonoring die-hard fandom.
The Eagles and Chiefs will kickoff from State Farm Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
True Cowboys fans know who they'll be cheering for, though they can only hope Parsons can come to his senses.
