Irvin! Haley! Jimmy! Dallas Cowboys' Micah Parsons Sends Powerful Playoff Message on 'Ring'
After trouncing the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys have won 12 games for the third season in a row, won the NFC East and clinched the second seed in the conference.
However, Dallas' true quest is only just beginning. The Cowboys have had plenty of good regular seasons lately, but playoff success has been much harder to come by. Their goal in the playoffs is to finally silence those who hold their 28-year Super Bowl drought against them.
The Cowboys know that this postseason is a defining moment for their current core, and a chance to cement their place in franchise history. After Sunday's game, star linebacker Micah Parsons gave a passionate message ahead of what is a make-or-break postseason for his team.
"Like I said, regular season's cute," Parsons said. "People will be like, 'Oh, you know he played great for a while,' but you know, this is legacy. There's always the term of be phenomenal, be forgotten, you know?
"So, the way Jimmy (Johnson) and (Michael Irvin), the way people show them love, that's where I think in Charles (Haley). I think that's where me, CeeDee (Lamb), Dak (Prescott), all want to be into that legacy and earn our way into that title Cowboys Hall of Fame." (That is, the Ring of Honor.)
For Cowboys fans new and old, Parsons' message is exactly what they want to hear. The team hasn't had much playoff success in the last 30 years, and to hear such a confident statement from their best defensive player, fresh off a personal-best regular season to boot, is huge for morale.

Dallas has thrived at AT&T Stadium this season, and getting at least one home playoff plus another if they win will help, but they can't afford to get complacent. As Parsons puts it, there are no second chances in the postseason.
"It's time to be phenomenal, there's no tomorrow," Parsons said. "That's the difference."
