‘Dallas is Dallas’? Did Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Start ‘Beef’ with Confused Cleveland?
FRISCO - If it’s another day that ends in the word “day,” it must be time for Micah Parsons to involve himself in yet another silly and counterproductive “beef.”I
This latest “controversy in a teapot” comes from the Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, which on Saturday featured the Dallas Cowboys edge rusher teaming with Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nukua to oppose Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill and Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku in a Madden NFL 24 duel.
And then came a panel discussion in which Parsons assessed Njoku's performance.
"I thought he did amazing. He made great adjustments. He obviously showed why,” Micah said, “Cleveland is Cleveland.”
“Cleveland is Cleveland”? What does that even mean? We don’t know … but Njoku didn’t like it, noting that Parsons isn’t in the Super Bowl, just as the Browns are not.
"One thing you got to understand is he said, 'Cleveland is Cleveland,' but we're both here (at the Pro Bowl),” Njoku said. "Like, we're both playing the Madden game. So, you got to make it make sense."
Njoku then wondered if that meant "Dallas is Dallas” … and then the panelists moved on to some other nonsense.
Parsons soon after hurried over to Twitter to see what was being said about him and slapped back at critics (as always) because “Y’all take things way out of control for viral moments!”
That point is true. But we’re still stuck on the meaning of “Cleveland is Cleveland” and asking the same question the offended Njoku asked.
