Dallas Cowboys ‘MNF’ Upset At Chargers Predicted by ESPN Computer

A computers can only spit out a response to the info that is shoved down its techno-throat … and this ESPN “news” is sure to cause a gag reflex in Cowboys Nation if it comes true.

Oh,  and given the duel between Dallas coach Mike McCarthy and his former aide Kellen Moore, nudged out of The Star this off-season to take the coordinator job with Los Angeles.

'Nothing Personal!' Kellen Moore vs. Mike McCarthy? Dallas Cowboys Coach Reacts

The Chargers are 3-3 and riding a two-game win streak, while Dallas is coming off an embarrassing 42-10 loss to the rival San Francisco 49ers.

And so what does the ESPN Analytics department and Bristol’s beloved Football Power Index have to say about the outcome?

Even though Dallas is considered by some to be “the better team,” the computer says the Chargers (who are 2-2 and coming off a bye) will survive the outing SoFi Stadium and cone away with a win.

Per the FPI, the Chargers hold a 55.6-percent chance of winning to the Cowboys' 44-percent chance.

Maybe a factor: Dallas under McCarthy has a 10-1 record following a loss dating back to 2021.

Also maybe in play: This should be a motivated 3-2 Cowboys team not only due to wishing to put getting embarrassed behind them, but also because they just spent Sunday NFL Week 6 watching top NFC East rivals San Francisco and Philadelphia lose to underdogs.
