Cowboys at Giants: Fake Fan Skip Bayless Reveals 'Ridiculous' Take

The Dallas Cowboys blew out the New York Giants in their Week 1 matchup, drawing praise from fake fan Skip Bayless.

On Sunday evening, the Dallas Cowboys opened their season with a huge win over their divisional rival New York Giants.

The Cowboys dominated the Giants by a score of 40-0, with the showing also garnering some praise from Fox Sports analyst and fake Cowboys fan Skip Bayless. During the beatdown, Bayless took to the app formerly known as Twitter to let people know he was supporting Dallas on this occasion, going as far as to say the victory was "ridiculously easy."

To the uninitiated, it is always a special time when he does offer support because it isn't something that he is consistently prone to doing on his show ... where he will bash them just about every other day depending on whether a contrarian take will garner him more attention.

It's not that Bayless is "wrong'' about Dallas being "ridiculously loaded''; rather, it's that he possesses no access inside the team and no insight into the team, opting instead to pull silly stunts (like throwing a Cowboys jersey into a garbage can) or issue dangerous statements (like questioning the faith of Tom Landry, the personal life of Troy Aikman or the manhood of Dak Prescott.)

Bayless is known to more knowlegeable Cowboys fans as a 'fair-weather' follower who is often their biggest "supporter" when they succeed but will be their biggest critic when the smallest struggles arise - but again, all about attention-gaining, never about analysis.

The Cowboys themselves are largely unmoved by this silliness, opting to avoid the "white noise'' from outside The Star.

We will see if the Dallas defense, who held the Giants to just 171 total yards while sacking Daniel Jones seven times, can continue their success in Week 2 against the other New York team. And we know that Bayless will continue to ride the coattails of "America's Team'' on Sunday when the Cowboys welcome to Arlington the new-look Jets led by Aaron Rodgers.
