Playoff Power Rankings, Betting Odds: Cowboys Super Bowl Chances?

Where do the Dallas Cowboys land in betting odds for the Super Bowl as the postseason approaches?

The Dallas Cowboys are NFC East champions, and they have secured the No. 2 seed in the conference after a 38-10 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

As Dallas is preparing to host the Green Bay Packers in the NFL's Super Wild Card Weekend, how likely is it that the Cowboys can make it all the way and win the Super Bowl? And what about those odds?

First off, as a No. 2 seed, the odds make sense: The 49ers are +225, the Ravens +325, the Bills +650 and the Cowboys at +750.

Trailing are the Chiefs at +900, the Eagles at +1300, the Dolphins at +1600 and the Lions at +2000

Meanwhile, Sporting News released a list of playoff power rankings complete with Super Bowl betting odds on Monday, and Dallas comes in at No. 4 - again, logically - on the list out of 14 teams.

4. Dallas Cowboys, NFC No. 2 seed (+750)

Is this the year? The Cowboys' skeptics already point to the looming 49ers matchup that has been unkind to them the past two years, and there might even be some danger with the red-hot Packers coming into Dallas in Round 1. However, the Cowboys seem to have hit a different gear since midseason with an aggressive offensive approach led by Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. This mindset gives them a real shot of going all the way.

Although the Cowboys have better odds to win the Super Bowl than the Kansas City Chiefs, they come one spot behind them in the power rankings list, a tally led by the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens at the top.

Dallas does appear to have found its stride late in the year, but after claiming the division title on Sunday, quarterback Dak Prescott and his teammates are aiming for the Super Bowl, not simply resting on the accomplishments of the regular season.

Why Dak Won't Wear 'NFC East Champs' Gear

"It’s a huge accomplishment," Prescott said. "But focus is ahead. We've won the East before ... I’m good. I want something better.”

The Cowboys and Packers will square off at 3:30 p.m. CT at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, and the game will be televised on FOX. ... and yes, CowboysSI.com will as always be on the scene!
