Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott 'Is A**'? Shady McCoy Admits His Own TV Ineptitude

LAS VEGAS - If it is part of his job to be a credible TV analyst, LeSean McCoy isn't very good at his job. And to his credit, as it relates to his oddly filthy evaluation of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, "Shady'' is now admitting as much.

In an obvious attempt to gain attention and traction in a "Stephen A. Skip'' media world, the former NFL running back repeatedly called Prescott "a**" when appearing on FS1's Speak.

Criticize Prescott for his play? Fair game. Analyze his talent in-depth? More than welcome. Say naughty words hoping someone will notice you?

Amateurish. ... and now, while appearing on Julian Edelman's Games With Names podcast, McCoy is admitting as much.

"I've had some struggles with TV, because I'm so raw and new at it," McCoy said.

McCoy had a lengthy and successful career as a running back in the NFL, playing for the Eagles and Bills and elsewhere. He surely has some true insight into QB play. ...

"In all reality, I should have said it differently, like 'he's playing like a**.' Because it's a lot of a** quarterbacks.''

That's McCoy's attempt to fix himself? By pretty much saying it again?

That's McCoy's attempt at an apology to his audience and maybe even to Prescott - who is a top-five finalist for NFL MVP honors?

It strikes us that McCoy has been given a platform for which he is simply unqualified, leaving us assuming that when he says something that is more "stupid'' than "nasty'' - as here, when he stated, "I think he's an average, above-average quarterback'' - he is simply doing the best he can.

And "the best he can'' makes him bad at his job.
