CeeDee Lamb NFL's Best? Peers Vote Cowboys WR in Top 10
FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is beloved by Cowboys fans as a member of the exclusive "88 Club.'' However, opinions vary on Lamb's status compared to the NFL's elite. But … According to NFL executives, coaches, scouts and players (arguably the most-educated opinions), Lamb is a top-10 receiver in the league.
In a poll on the NFL's top receivers posted by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the two-time Pro Bowler Lamb rose the No. 10 spot, after being left off the list last season (with an honorable mention nod.)
Lamb broke out last season with 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns to become the youngest receiver in Cowboys history to produce a 1,000-yard season.
An interesting (but not surprising) note from the poll: Quarterback Dak Prescott's chemistry with Lamb is considered to be substantially better than other Cowboys; Dak posted a 93 QBR when targeting Lamb, and a 57 when targeting other teammates.
With head coach Mike McCarthy taking over the play-calling duties in 2023, there will be some notable changes to how the Cowboys go about their business offensively this season in McCarthy's "Texas Coast Offense.''
Ahead of Lamb in the survey are two NFC East division foes in Philadelphia Eagle A.J. Brown (No. 7) and Washington Commander Terry McLaurin (No. 9.) Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, whose 643 yards after the catch led the league, took the top spot in the poll.
