'Cheap S*** TD!' Cowboys Win, Jets Whine

The Dallas Cowboys leave a bunch of New Yorkers frustrated after the Jets' 30-10 loss, with players taking their whining to social media.

The Dallas Cowboys, for the second week in a row, pummeled their opponent - this time by a 30-10 score in Week 2 on Sunday - which created a lot of frustration in the New York Jets' locker room.

Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner was not happy with a social media post made by a Dallas fan account that said Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had his 11 receptions and 143 yards all against him. Whether it was correct or not, Gardner didn't like the fan's analysis.

"Damnn y'all really love sayin my name on this app," Gardner said in a post on X. "He didn't catch a ball on me. Source: me."

Gardner deactivated his X account afterward, but he went over to his Instagram account and posted a photo on his story on the plane ride back to New York.

"4 catches for 19 yards is really a 'Sophomore Slump,'" Gardner captioned the post. "WATCH THIS."

However, he wasn't the only Jet that was upset after Sunday's shellacking. New York running back Breece Hall has since deleted a post he made that featured four football emojis — likely a reference to the amount of carries he had against the Cowboys.

“I mean, I only got four touches," Hall said after the game. "That’s why we struggled. It is what it is. We just got down early today and just abandoned the run. That type of stuff happens. You feel like you have to get back in the game and it just slips away.”

On Hall's four carries, he picked up nine yards, which was a theme for Jets running backs. New York's three running backs it used — Hall, Michael Carter and Dalvin Cook — combined for 24 yards on 10 carries.

Quarterback Zach Wilson was the Jets' leading rusher with 36 yards on five totes.

From a Dallas perspective, as the Cowboys collected three sacks and three interceptions and gave up just one TD when Garrett Wilson got free for a short catch and a long run?

"You just witnessed the best defense in the world,'' Dallas' DeMarcus Lawrence said, adding that New York's lone touchdown came "on some cheap s*** like that, too.''
