Dallas Cowboys Upcoming Schedule; Still A Playoff Team? A Hard Look in the Mirror - FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys' struggles in their 42-10 blowout loss at the San Francisco 49ers on "Sunday Night Football'' has "America's Team'' reeling. But team owner Jerry Jones is reiterating his faith in the Cowboys, and in his quarterback.
"Dak Prescott is a quarterback that can get us to the Super Bowl," Jones said on Tuesday via 105.3 The Fan. "That's the way that's gonna be. ... I want to be real clear: Dak is very capable of taking this team where we want it to go."
That "where'' is the Super Bowl, of course. But before that must come a playoff berth ... and at 3-2, with the schedule the way it is - Dallas has upcoming games against the Eagles twice, plus the Lions, the Seahawks, the Dolphins and the Bills, contenders all - it would be understandable at this moment if some doubt is creeping in to the fan base, if not into the building here at The Star.
Prescott was poor in that game. He went 14 of 24 passing for 153 yards with one touchdown and a season-high three interceptions. The offense produced a season-low 197 yards.
Micah Parsons and the defense? No better, as the group gave up season highs in points (42) and yards (421) ... and incredibly, allowed more points than it did in the first four games combined (41).
