Cowboys Vs. Jets BREAKING: Injured Kicker OUT

Greg Zuerlein will not play against the Dallas Cowboys team that once employed him as the New York Jets have ruled the injured kicker out.

FRISCO - He’s known as “Greg the Leg,” but at this moment, New York Jets veteran kicker Greg Zuerlein has a leg that isn’t responding very well … causing the Jets rule him out as they travel to DFW for Sunday's game here in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. 

Said Jets coach Robert Saleh: “He's dealing with a groin. … “Gotta roll with the punches."

With Zuerlein not healthy enough to play against the Cowboys team that once employed him, the Jets conducted emergency tryouts on Friday. Three prospects got to work out … with the winner being former Lions and Browns kicker Austin Seibert.

Zuerlein played for two seasons in Dallas before moving to the Jets in 2021.

The Cowboys meanwhile believe they’ve found their kicking answer in rookie Brandon Aubrey, best-known as an MLS soccer star. … and at this moment represents a major advantage for Dallas in this Week 2 showdown of 1-0 teams.
