Cowboys Vs. Jets OFFICIAL Injury Update: Brandin Cooks, Tyler Smith
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys are feeling good after their 40-0 crushing of the New York Giants on Sunday night in Week 1.
Now as we enter the weekend and a visit from the other New York team, the Cowboys are trying to get a handful of key starters “feeling good” in a literal sense for Sunday’s Week 2 showdown featuring a pair of 1-0 clubs.
For Dallas: Veteran receiver Brandin Cooks was a DNP for Wednesday and Thursday work here at The Star with a knee injury. And on Friday?
He did not work and is now “questionable.”
Additionally, team owner Jerry Jones on Friday hinted that guard Tyler Smith is “questionable” and all but “ruled out” for Sunday with his hamstring issue. He is officially “doubtful.”
The injury report, as we present it to Cowboys Nation below, is "official'' in nature. …
And it also features guard Zack Martin, listed as “questionable,” with the starter expected to play.
The Jets are of course without QB Aaron Rodgers, out for the year with his Achilles tear. And New York is holding kicker tryouts because Greg Zuerlein - the former Cowboy has been deemed “50-50” to play due to an injury.
