Cowboys vs. Jets: Tom Brady Should Sign as Aaron Rodgers Replacement?

Aaron Rodgers' injury leaves "only one possible answer: Tom Brady to the Jets.'' - NFL analyst on the Cowboys' next opponent's plan.

FRISCO - One Dallas Cowboys' nemesis at quarterback has met his 2023 NFL fate, with newly-recruited legend Aaron Rodgers being knocked out for the season in his New York Jets debate.

With the Jets slated to play at Dallas in Week 2, can that mean another Cowboys' nemesis might find himself in a green uniform?

“If Rodgers' injury is as bad as this halftime show is making it sound like it is, then there’s only one possible answer: Tom Brady to the Jets,” FS1's Nick Wright wrote in a tweet during the "Monday Night Football'' game in which Rodgers, 39, had to be helped off the field and then carted off the sidelines to the medical room ... and then taken away altogether with what is a season-ending Achilles injury

The Jets' babyfaced QB2 Zach Wilson took over in the meeting with the Buffalo Bills, contributing to a thrilling late-game win for New York. And Wilson will be the QB on Sunday at AT&T Stadium against the 1-0 Cowboys, too, unless ...

Nah. Nick Wright, who sent Twitter into a frenzy with his (comedic?) hot take, surely knows that the GOAT Brady, age 46, who just retired, has no desire to make a comeback. ... Even though there are Las Vegas oddsmakers who are putting him on their "maybe'' list.

The Jets' big move in trading with the Green Bay Packers for the four-time MVP did not work. And while some Cowboys watchers moan that this organization, now led by QB Dak Prescott, hasn't won a Super Bowl in 27 years? The Jets have only won one Super Bowl in their history, which takes them all the way back to 1969.

In the end, maybe the Cowboys don't have it so bad with Prescott. And maybe the Jets have it so bad they need to be rescued by a 46-year-old retiree.
