Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Dez Bryant $10,000 'Sucker Bet' with DeSean Jackson
FRISCO - Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant has eased into his post-football life by taking on new challenges, as a father and a businessman and a social-media commentator.
Oh, and one more role: He's a major "booster club'' member for his former team, right down to his willingness to bet money - "Smokin' on that (Opposing Team'' Pack!'' as he likes to call it - on their success.
And now he's got what some are calling a "gentlemen’s bet'' that will be taking place during “Sunday Night Football.” ... except as it includes $10,000 on the line in his wager with former Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson ...
This is not about "gentlemen.''
“Have that $10k ready for Sunday night,” Jackson wrote to Bryant on Twitter (X) this week.
Responded Dez: “Yo Jack, my ten bands right here for you smoking on that Eagle Pack Sunday! You better believe it!''
Bryant has in the last couple of years done very well with his customary $10,000, as pro-Cowboys as he always is. But this one has a special slant to it ... as the Eagles are 3.5-point underdogs.

That essentially means that by suckering Jackson into betting straight-up - no point spread involved - Bryant has a built-in moneyline edge of 15.4 percent on the actual odds of a bet on the Cowboys’ moneyline.
Which means, by the numbers, that Bryant - who in 13 career games against the Eagles was a dominant performer with nine touchdowns and 975 receiving yards - has a chance to dominate a "sucker'' here.
