Dallas Cowboys Watch As Philadelphia Eagles Win in OT Over Buffalo Bills

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys spent the first half of Sunday as if if was a "regular workday,'' the oddity of the Thanksgiving Week schedule crunch causing a transformation of the day into one featuring not a game, but of locker-room time, meetings and media obligations here inside The Star.

But the second half of this NFL Week 12 day off? It was about watching football ... and rooting against a rival.

Unfortunately for Dallas, top MVP candidate Jalen Hurts and his Eagles again found a way, this time with a clutch nine-play, 75-yard drive to give Philadelphia a 37-34 win in overtime over Buffalo.

The drive was capped it with a 12-yard touchdown run from Hurts to give the Eagles the win. … and a 10-1 record … and, to Hurts’ credit, his 14th straight win against a team with a winning record.

Philly made enough mistakes to appear vulnerable. But in the end. Hurts - with three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns - kept the Eagles in charge of the NFC playoff race.

Dak Confirms: Dallas Cowboys QB About to Be a 'Girl Dad'

The Dak Prescott-led Cowboys are 8-3 and have a head-to-head chance to close the gap in two weeks, when Philly comes to DFW. And next week, the Eagles play another power in the Niners.

But the Eagles continue to win in the clutch, and they continue to do it against teams like Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs (last week) and Josh Allen’s Bills here …  the NFL elite … so much so that as good and as hot as the Cowboys might be … they might nevertheless be relegated to a wild card berth come the postseason.
