'THE LOCK': Cowboys' Zack Martin A Hall of Famer? 'No-Brainer!'

The 33rd Team lists Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin as a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And they're very, very right.

The Dallas Cowboys have been blessed with some outstanding talents in recent years, and there's arguably no greater example of that than star guard Zack Martin.

The No. 16 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Martin has been the best guard in football over the last decade. In nine seasons, he has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and to the All-Pro first team six times. For reference, he has more Pro Bowl selections than he does holding penalties with just seven in his career. In addition to his excellent blocking, Martin has also been extremely durable, as he's missed just nine games in nine seasons.

Martin hasn't just cemented himself as one of the modern greats at his position, but he's in the conversation with the all-time greats. It's seemingly only a matter of time before he ends up in Canton, and he still has plenty of time to add to his resume. The 33rd Team included him in a very exclusive club of future Hall of Fame locks.

“Martin has missed just nine starts in nine seasons, six of them from a calf injury in 2020,” The 33rd Team's Paul Domowitch said. “He’s one of the two or three best interior offensive linemen in the last 25 years. Position bias may force him to wait a couple of years, but he’s a no-brainer.’’

Martin is one of two offensive linemen in the lock tier, alongside San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams. Other interior linemen showed up lower down on the list, with Indianapolis Colts guard Quentin Nelson in the "Likely HOFers" tier and Cleveland Browns guard Joel Bitonio in "Potential HOFers."

Martin is also the only Cowboy on the list, though if some of his teammates continue their current pace, that won't last long.

The Cowboys have plenty of big-name skill players on offense, including quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Tony Pollard and receiver CeeDee Lamb. When discussing the best player on the offense, though, it's very difficult to argue against Martin.
