Cowboys at Vikings GAMEDAY Preview: Can Dallas Halt Minnesota Streak?
The Dallas Cowboys travel to play arguably the NFL's hottest team in the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday from Minneapolis. The Cowboys are fresh off a disappointing and gut-wrenching overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers, while the Vikings pulled out an improbable 33-30 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
In order to get back on track, the Cowboys will have to halt the Vikings' seven-game winning streak. The confident Vikings came back from a 17-point deficit in Week 10 to take down the Super Bowl-favorites Bills. Led by Kirk Cousins, Minnesota's offensive attack features running back Dalvin Cook, receivers Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and new addition tight end T.J. Hockenson.
The Cowboys defense will have their hands full with Cook, the the seventh-leading rusher in the NFL who is averaging five yards per carry in addition to 22 receptions and seven touchdowns.
A win would help the Cowboys improve their NFC East division standing and playoff odds. The Cowboys' loss to Green Bay knocked them to third in the highly-competitive division, behind the first-place Philadelphia Eagles and second-place New York Giants.
A key to victory for Dallas will be to not let up on the gas pedal. All seven of the victories in Minnesota's winning streak have been by one score and the Vikings have pulled off fourth-quarter comebacks in multiple games over that streak.
Quarterback Dak Prescott looks to bounce back after throwing two interceptions in the loss to Green Bay. The Dallas offense hopes to have running back Ezekiel Elliott available, after missing two-straight games with a sore knee.
FUN FACT: Since the start of the 2021 season, Dallas is 6-1 (.857) in games following a loss.

THE FINAL WORD: Stephen A. Smith went on First Take Tuesday morning and blamed Prescott for last Sunday's loss in Green Bay. Jerry Jones reacted:
“I can say that’s not correct," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "The reason that I - not the reason, that’s unfair to Dak and all the players on the team - but the strength that I look at our chance to win a championship ... is Dak. I don’t think that’s accurate."
