Dallas 'Got Tired'? Cowboys Teammates React To DeMarcus Lawrence's Odd Analysis

LAS VEGAS - As a result of a comment we swear Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence would like to take back, eyebrows are being raised not only in Cowboys Nation but among Tank's own teammates as well.

“In all honestly, I think the main thing is we was burnt out,” Lawrence said on ESPN's First Take in trying to explain how in the world Dallas got crushed in its playoff opener, at home, to the underdog Packers. “Long season, team is dominantly healthy throughout the season, the legs get tired."

Lawrence - a 10-year veteran and frequent and capable locker-room voice - is being ripped for his remarks ... which of course are ridiculous, given that the Packers also played "a long season'' and might've had "tired legs'' ... in addition to the fact that they traveled to the game.

And some of the guys who are "gently ripping'' Lawrence are his own teammates.

"I don't know what that word is," Brandin Cooks said when informed by 105.3 The Fan of Lawrence's opinion that they were "tired.'' I don't know what that's all about."

Added Stephon Gilmore, mentioning the two teams still playing, with the Super Bowl slated for Sunday here in Las Vegas: "Everybody is tired in the playoffs. Whatever it takes. San Francisco is tired right now. Kansas City is tired.''

The always-vocal Micah Parsons, noting the debate on Twitter, used emojis to laugh off the concept.

Lawrence also credited the Packers with doing enough things right to earn the 48-32 win, adding, "You gotta give hats off to Green Bay ... they jumped on us fast.”

And now everybody in Cowboys Nation is jumping on Tank ... even his own disbelieving teammates.
