Zack Martin New Cowboys Contract Revealed: $8.5 Million Raise
As the Dallas Cowboys look to unseat the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, they've reached a contract that will assure six-time All-Pro right guard Zack Martin will be ready to protect quarterback Dak Prescott in Week 1 against the New York Giants.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Dallas has agreed to pay Martin "north of $18 million" for both the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
CowboysSI.com sources say that both seasons - with a total bump of $8.5 million - are now fully guaranteed. Under his previous deal, Martin was slated to make $13.5 million in 2023, and $14 million in 2024, per Spotrac.
This is seemingly a win for both sides, as Martin's holdout did net him more money and guarantees over the next two seasons. For the Cowboys, they'll get back one of the most integral pieces of their team, and did so without handing out an especially risky contract.
A first-round pick in 2014, Martin has established himself as one of the most dominant interior offensive linemen in NFL history during his nine seasons in Dallas. The 32-year-old is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, and was voted to the Hall of Fame's All-2010s Team. This new deal may help assure that Martin spends the entirety of his career with the Cowboys.
