‘Everything Is Bigger in Texas!’ Buffalo Bills' L' Trolls Dallas Cowboys on Social Media After Blowout
It was a rainy, wet, miserable afternoon for the Dallas Cowboys in Orchard Park Sunday afternoon, as they were throttled 31-10 by the Buffalo Bills. And for good measure, the Bills social media team poured some salt in the wounds of Cowboys fans after the game.
Buffalo's social media team had a simple message after a commanding win over the Cowboys, writing "Everything is bigger in Texas," with the Texas state flag morphed into an L.
Buffalo was understandably excited after their second consecutive win, both of which have come against Super Bowl contenders in the Kansas City Chiefs and Cowboys.
Week 15's win was probably particularly satisfying for the Bills, because they didn't rely on quarterback Josh Allen to be Superman to win the game, as they seem to do far too often. Instead, they leaned on running back James Cook, who rushed for 179 yards and had a pair of touchdowns. Coach Sean McDermott's defense also limited MVP candidate Dak Prescott and an explosive Cowboys offense to just 195 total yards of offense.
Still, the Bills are only 8-6 after the win, hardly certain to make the playoffs in the AFC. It's true that if Cook stays hot and Buffalo's defense plays like a top-tier unit, this would be a very dangerous team in the playoffs given that Allen is arguably the most physically-gifted quarterback in the sport. But you have to get in first.

Meanwhile, for as ugly as Sunday's loss was for the Cowboys, they did clinch a playoff spot before their game even kicked off. Granted, there are real issues after this loss, which likely dashed Dallas' hopes of being the No. 1 seed in the NFC and made it more difficult to edge out the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. But they will play at least one postseason game, something Buffalo isn't assured of yet.
The reality is that both of these teams will be considered unsuccessful if they don't at least reach their respective conference championship games. But if the Bills miss out on the playoffs altogether while Dallas plays in the postseason, you can bet some Cowboys fans will circle back to this social media post. ... and that big Texas "L.''
