Ezekiel Elliott BREAKING: Signs with Patriots - Plays at Cowboys in Week 4
FRISCO - Former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has a new NFL team after being a June 1 cap casualty as he is joining the New England Patriots.
New England has given Elliott a contract that is being reported a for one year and “up to $6 million.”
New England has Rhamondre Stevenson as an offensive centerpiece. But the Patriots - the only team that had Elliott in for a visit - may see him as a short-yardage guy and even a mentor.
And what will the Cowboys fans see out of this coach Bill Belichick move? Well, the Patriots are scheduled to play at Dallas at AT&T Stadium this year in Week 4 … so in addition to some warm and fuzzies some up close and personal judgments can be made.
As CowboysSI.com repeatedly stated, Elliott's time in Dallas was over … with Tony Pollard now the top guy here.
Could the Patriots be a possible reboot for Zeke’s career? Lots of cowboys fans surely hope so… Except of course, during Week 4.
