ARLINGTON - The early bird catches ... Dallas Cowboys pregame video warmups featuring the Cowboys Cheerleaders and holdout Ezekiel Elliott. Let's take a look!

We've got our guys to look at tonight once the game starts, as we note here:

There hasn't been much "dress rehearsal'' talk this week inside The Star leading up to tonight's 6 p.m. kickoff here at AT&T Stadium against the visiting Houston Texans. I suspect we'll see some first-teamers, QB Dak Prescott and company on offense only briefly. And we know Sean Lee is planning on getting some snaps so that is a hint as to what Dallas might do however briefly early on defense.

But then comes the real core value of a Preseason Game 3: Jobs are on the line. Along with that, click here for 10 guys to watch -- most of them youngsters -- as they battle for roles.

We also know that there is good news on the injury front as it relates to a host of Dallas standouts. Appearing on 105.3 The Fan on Friday, the eve of tonight's preseason visit by the Texans, COO Stephen Jones said he is “very optimistic” all of the currently injured players will be available against the New York Giants when the regular season starts.

That goes for right guard Zack Martin. That goes for line mate Tyron Smith. That goes for cornerback Byron Jones. That goes for receiver Amari Cooper. And it applies to just-off-PUP defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford as well. (Click here for that story.)

But Ezekiel Elliott? Well, maybe he's here in spirit ...

And as always, the Cowboys Cheerleaders bring the spirit as well ...

And now all we need is a football game ... Well, and a Zeke sighting that is more than just "on TV.''
