Cowboys’ Dak Prescott Reacts to Ezekiel Elliott Signing
FRISCO - As we write this, Ezekiel Elliott is packing up at his home here in Frisco, and having agreed to sign with the New England Patriots on Monday, is hitting the road.
And best pal Dak Prescott is excited for Zeke, the quarterback showing that with a congratulatory post on social media.
"Happy for you 15 !!," Prescott said in his Instagram story.
Elliott plans to switch back to the No. 15 he wore in college at Ohio State, where he became a legendary member of the Buckeyes 2014 national championship team. (He’s also going retro with his college-kid haircut.)
The two-time NFL rushing champ was cut by the Cowboys in March, a move that was an emotional one in the Dallas locker room.
"It's tough,” Prescott told us after the cap-casualty move. “To be able to start this NFL career and share so many memories and grow up as men with this organization. … I really can't imagine taking the field without him."
Elliott and Prescott entered the league as Cowboys draft picks in 2016 and became team leaders in the process.
Prescott and Elliott won’t be playing together again … but interestingly, they will be on the field together again … at AT&T Stadium in Week 4 as the Patriots come to Texas to face the Cowboys on October 1.
