‘Hell, I Needed That!’ NEW VIDEO of Micah Cowboys Fight
Is there a justification for the in-family fight that marred the Dallas Cowboys final big day of work Wednesday in Oxnard? Is there maybe even a benefit from brawling?
“Hell yeah, I need that,” Micah Parsons said of him and his defense throwing punches at offensive teammates, part of two major dust-ups on the day. “I’m here to make them better. I push myself to the greater good and me pushing myself is only gonna make them better, at the end of the day.”
We’re not sure of the logic … especially if Micah punching Tyler Biadasz’ helmeted head had resulted in the Cowboys’ best player suffering a broken hand.
Oh, by the way, via the DallasCowboys.com site, here’s new footage displaying Parsons’ punching prowess.
Fortunately, nobody got hurt. And the Cowboys defense believes it’s all part of a bonding process.
“I don’t care who I’m up against,” Micah said. Don’t care if it’s Tyron [Smith], if it’s Zack [Martin], if it’s Tyler Smith — I’m gonna beat the hell out of them.”
Teammate Jayron Kearse shares that general feeling, though his focus seems to be about the defense making sure it’s emotionally connected.
"We ain't taking no (bleep) from nobody - all 32 teams - we ain't taking (bleep) from nobody!" said Kearse after practice. "Whether it's our offense or the next offense. We're trying to show we're the best in the business, so it gets spicy out here, it's gonna get spicy on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays; whenever we line up, that's how we're gonna come."
OK. And all of this helps the offense, too, Micah?
“It’s only gonna make them better,” insisted Parsons, who was eventually pulled out of the conflict by Dak Prescott. “This is where championships get started — right here in camp. The goal is to bring that out, and the camaraderie, to bring it all together. It’s only one goal at the end of the day.”
Perhaps the fireworks are the result of the team prepping to leave Oxnard and to play a preseason game at Seattle before coming home to Frisco?
“It’s the last practice of camp, man,” Parsons said. “You gotta bring all you got. That’s what this is about. I told guys before we went out there that this is our Super Bowl [for the day]. It was nothing more than being ferocious and being a dog competitor.”
