HOUDINI! Dak Escape Act Leads to Dallas Cowboys Game-Changing Touchdown at Chargers

Just when Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott appeared to be dead-to-rights in the backfield, a Houdini act saved the play...and possibly the game...for his team.

On a third down, Prescott looked to be heading to the ground for another sack in Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but he managed to break tackles, evade pressure and find none other than running back Tony Pollard in the middle of the field for a first down.

That first down turned into much more as 60 yards later, Pollard had the Cowboys in scoring position. After overcoming holding penalties, a theme for Dallas on the night, Dak Prescott found Brandin Cooks off his back foot for a touchdown that regained the lead for the visitors.

You can see Pollard's huge play below.

And here is the spot-on throw from Dak to Cooks that put the Cowboys up by seven points, their largest lead of the night.

Offensive consistency has been difficult for both teams to find on Monday night, but the Cowboys have gone a crucial 2-for-4 in the red zone, finding both a rushing and passing score from Prescott in pivotal moments in the first and second halves. Kicker Brandon Aubrey has also contributed a field goal to the Dallas tally.

After this score, Dallas holds a 17-10 lead, responding after a field goal from Los Angeles tied the game on the previous possession. Can the Cowboys hold on and gain a massive win entering their bye week? You can follow along live with the action at CowboysSI.com here.
