Chiefs' Travis Kelce Reveals Bold Prediction for Cowboys Ex Deion Sanders
LAS VEGAS - Travis Kelce has his priorities straight. He's focused, first and foremost, on this Sunday's Super Bowl as his Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the Super Bowl.
Ranking right after that, surely, is his romance with pop icon Taylor Swift.
And then? He's a "Coach Prime'' guy, and this week here in Las Vegas he took a moment to discuss the University of Colorado football program under Dallas Cowboys icon Deion Sanders, complete with a prediction of the Buffs' record next year.
“Undefeated!'' Kelce said. "I’m taking Prime every single time.''
That's probably not a good bet with actual money; Colorado is heading back to the Big 12 next season and is coming off a 4-8 record in Sanders' first season in Boulder. The Buffs ended the year by losing eight of their last nine games and falling out of contention for a bowl game.
In terms of attention-getting? Nobody does it like the Hall of Famer Sanders, who has certainly upset the apple cart of college football. And he and Kelce have something in common, for as Deion is the best cover corner in the history of the sport, Kelce figures to be remembered as its all-time most productive tight end.
Odds Travis Kelce Proposes To Taylor Swift At Super Bowl
Having said all of that, players aren't allowed to gamble this week here in Vegas, and so Kelce is smart to phrase his prediction in a certain way.
“I’m not a betting man,'' Kelce said, "but my money is on Prime.”
