‘You Line Up, You Get F***** Up!’ Cowboys Message for Jets
FRISCO - Micah Parsons has become the outspoken voice of the Dallas Cowboys, and why not? Among his many talents is the gift of gab.
But long before Micah’s 2021 arrival in Dallas, the chest-puffing, bar-setting defensive spokesman around here was DeMarcus Lawrence … and Tank is now at it again, the “Potty-Mouthed Poet Laureate” issuing a warning for Sunday’s Week 2 foe the New York Jets and the rest of the NFL field.
“We’ve got a saying in our locker room,” Lawrence revealed this week. ‘If you line up, you get f****** up. So, it doesn’t matter. Whoever it is, they line up, you know the rest."
We do know how it’s worked for Parsons and Lawrence and company in recent times. The Cowboys have won 12 games and made the playoffs in each of the last two years and have posted elite and even recovers-setting numbers in the areas of takeaways and sacks.
Coordinator Dan Quinn’s group has launched its way into a similar start this year with a 40-0 demolition of the Giants in Week 1, an effort that featured seven sacks, five forced fumbles, two interceptions and two non-offensive TDs to cap off the blowout/shutout.
Parsons has declared that Dallas has made its “statement as the best defensive in the National Football League.” He’s also picked up on the historically significant “Doomsday” moniker.
So Micah talks, a lot. And Trevon Diggs talks trash. And Osa talks as if he’s Oprah.
But Lawrence? It's now been re-established: Nobody in Dallas “talks dirty” like the Cowboys’ “Potty-Mouthed Poet Laureate” Tank.
