Micah Parsons' Loud Dallas Cowboys Message for New York Giants: 'Never Overlook an Opponent!'

The Dallas Cowboys are overwhelming favorites against the New York Giants, but Micah Parsons has preached caution over the wounded animal that will enter AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

"Never play with your food.'' That is something that most of us learned early in our lives, and Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is reminding his team of that on Sunday.

On paper, the game between the Cowboys and the New York Giants is the ultimate mismatch, with Dallas an NFL-largest 17-point favorite.

With quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor out and tight end Darren Waller as well, the Giants' offense resembles a skeleton crew as Tommy DeVito is expected to start, and most predict a resounding Cowboys win.

But Parsons has a message for his locker room.

"Never overlook an opponent," Parsons said. " We see where that got us this year. We're staying grounded coming off of a rough loss. This game [now] has a lot more importance to it, and it's a divisional game."

With the Cowboys coming off a bitter loss to the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 in a game of inches, Parsons and company forced three fumbles, all of which were recovered by the Eagles. The chance for redemption against a wounded Giants team is one that is welcome. ... as is the chance to not repeat that "we see where that got us'' outing - Micah's reference to an early-season loss to a bad Cardinals team.

At AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys have won 11 straight games, many expect that to extend to 12 come Sunday night.

And Parsons knows what the home crowd can do for his team as they look to bounce back from last week's loss to the Eagles.

“One, it starts with having the best fans in the world; Cowboys Nation shows up every time, so shout out to ... extra motivation right there,” Parsons said. “Then two, just learning from your mistakes, determined and hungry to get back after it, getting our hands back onto another team to redeem ourselves.''

But with the "Lion-backer'' hungry and ready to eat, when the chance comes to feast on Sunday, don't expect him to play with his prey - he's going for the kill.
