Micah Parsons: 'I'm At Peace - And Embarrassed!' - By Dallas Cowboys Playoff Failure

FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys "Lion-backer'' Micah Parsons is as outspoken as any player on the "America's Team'' roster, though he's been noticeably quiet following the club's shocking playoff ouster at the hands of the underdog Packers.

But it's podcast time. So Micah is back ... expressing both "embarrassment'' and "sadness'' over the failure and a personal slap-back at critics of his effort and performance in the loss.

“It’s sad, man, that you lose the way you do, especially at home,” Parsons said on Wednesday. “To go out like that at home was completely embarrassing and unacceptable. … It took me a while to even be able to show my face in public. I disappeared completely.”

Disappeared? Indeed, Parsons exited the AT&T Stadium locker room on that fateful Sunday night wearing his playful Bobby Boucher jersey from the movie "The Waterboy'' ... but also wearing a frown as he escaped media interview requests.

At the same time, Parsons said he has "no regrets'' about his personal investment in trying to win that game.

“I’m at full peace,'' said Parsons. "I don’t think I could have done anything more to try to win that game ... I challenge anyone to actually go look at the game film and say that Micah didn’t play his heart out in that game or what more could I have done?”

That remark might strike some as odd, given that the All-Pro Parsons registered just one quarterback hit and zero sacks in that game as he served as the leader of a defense that allowed a stunning 48 points to the visiting team.
