Micah Parsons, 'Piss Off!' Cowboys Star Recruits Jalen Ramsey, Rips Lions

Cowboys star Micah Parsons is becoming "The Charles Barkley of the NFL.'' ... but the Lions are not laughing.

FRISCO - We've recently made the point that Micah Parsons is "The Charles Barkley of the NFL.'' Our logic in the parallel? NBA great Barkley gets to say anything he wishes, trash anything he wishes, no matter how outrageous, because he does it with disarming humor.

But right now, the Detroit Lions aren't laughing - in fact Lions Nation is telling the Dallas Cowboys star Parsons to "piss off.''

Why?

Detroit wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown is trying to recruit Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey to come to Detroit.

“I keep seeing these Jalen Ramsey (rumors) - that they (Rams) might release him, or how(ever) that’s gonna work,” St. Brown said. “Jalen, if you can hear this, I know you played with (Lions QB Jared) Goff before - Detroit might seem like a landing spot, my guy. Talk to me, talk to me.””

"Twitter recruiting'' is very much in style; Parsons has done it repeatedly - so repeatedly that he's even invited guys who aren't even available to come to Dallas.

So what does St. Brown reaching out to Ramsey have to do with Parsons?

Nothing ... except Micah has a habit of needlessly interjecting himself into situations. To wit ...

“I’m sorry, no one going from LA to Detroit,” Parsons tweeted, complete with a few crying-laughing emojis.

The Ramsey facts: There is buzz that the Rams might trade or cut the 28-year-old standout cornerback. It is Ramsey's position that the latter isn't happening, but this is the Rams' decision, not his.

The Micah facts: He has a Twitter habit of taking random shots at the teams he's beaten and at the teams that beat him, of offering social commentary on world issues that he later realizes he knows nothing about, and of celebrating his competitiveness (see "I Do'') and his goofiness (see "Foot Fetish.'')

But that doesn't mean the good people of Detroit are obliged to agree with Micah's entertainment value. As the website "Pride of Detroit'' writes, "Since he’s been alive (1999), the Lions and Cowboys have been to the exact same number of NFC Championships - zero..

"He, like many other haters out there, has likely spent no significant time in Detroit and is completely ignorant to the strides the city has made in the past couple decades.

"In other words, piss off, Micah Parsons.''

Now that's kinda funny.
