Micah Parsons Vows Dallas Cowboys Revenge In Empty Threat Against 49ers' George Kittle

FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is vowing revenge against the San Francisco 49ers ... but not really due to the lopsided 42-10 loss in Week 5 on "Sunday Night Football.''

And not about how tight end George Kittle led the thrashing with his trio of touchdown catches against Micah's proud "Doomsday'' defense.

No, Parsons is upset about ... a T-shirt.

Kittle Vs. Micah

“Kittle’s my guy but (I’ll) say this: Laugh now, cry later,'' Parsons said on Monday on his podcast. "We've got something for that, just trust. If we see them again, just trust. And we gonna put it just like that.''

Parsons' fiery response to Kittle is all about the undershirt worn by the 49ers star, which he displayed proudly at game's end at Levi's Stadium as he lifted up his red jersey to reveal a gray T-shirt emblazoned with a Cowboys star and the words "(BLEEP) DALLAS.''

The T-shirt is a sort of homage to the 90's rivalry between the two teams. (See "Plummer, Gary.'') It's also available all over the internet, for any fan of any team, with the expletive directed at any other team. It's also, we will state frankly, something that should be the least of Parsons' Cowboys-related concerns.

Parsons' mistake here? He's taking his eyes off the prize. The Cowboys should be far too busy with fixing football issues this week and for the foreseeable future to concern themselves with opponents' undergarments.

Additionally, we take issue with Parsons' assertion that the Cowboys spend Monday back at The Star plotting their on-field retaliation for the off-color insult. "We've got something for that!''? Meaning Parsons and the players and the Cowboys defensive coaching staff actually spent time game-planning vengeance against Kittle "if we see them again''?

Kittle’s t-shirt: Cowboys’ Parsons

Nah. That didn't happen. Nor should it. Dallas is 3-2 and is surely occupying itself with ways to win at the Chargers in Week 6 on "Monday Night Football'' rather than wasting a valuable minute on the "if'' of a playoff rematch with San Francisco - a game in which the 49ers would be favored to beat Dallas for a fourth straight time.

"You gonna make it personal?'' Micah said in the podcast. "We can make it personal, that’s cool.”

Actually, it is neither "personal'' or "cool.'' It is Kittle and the 49ers first beating the Cowboys in every possible way, physically, on the field ... and now doing the same thing, in one obvious Parsons-related way, psychologically, off the field.

"Laugh now, cry later''? The 49ers laughed at the Cowboys on Sunday. And now the week moves on ... and thanks in part to Micah Parsons' empty threats, the 49ers are still laughing.
