Michael Irvin 'In a Dark Place,' Cowboys Icon Checks in From Brazil

Michael Irvin and his accusers are on track to head to court in Arizona ... while the Cowboys legend is on the road trying to work his way back from a "dark place.''

FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame receiver and in-limbo NFL analyst Michael Irvin is apparently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this weekend - "I had to get away,'' he wrote on Twitter - but he wanted to find a way to view the UFC pay-per-view event being staged in his hometown of Miami.

He therefore took to social media to ask for guidance in how to dial up the event, and that tweet evolved into a conversation with fans that noted his struggles with his situation as a result of NFL Network removing him from its coverage of Super Bowl LVII due to allegations of sexual misconduct at his hotel in Phoenix.

One follower suggested he should've returned to Miami to watch the UFC event in person.

"You might be right bro,'' Irvin responded. "But I was in a dark place from dealing with all that stuff since Super Bowl I had to get away. Thanks bro.''

Irvin has launched a $100 million lawsuit against Marriott and his "Jane Doe'' accuser. Video footage of his hotel lobby interaction with the female employee of the hotel was eventually released, and while it showed Irvin interacting with the accuser, it did not indicate anything especially inappropriate.

Nevertheless, Irvin and his accusers are on track to head to court in Arizona ... while Irvin is on the road trying to work his way back from a "dark place.''
