Tupac Shakur Murder Solved, Dallas Cowboys' Super Bowl Drought Meme Ignited

Social media is jokingly ripping into the Dallas Cowboys for their Super Bowl NFC Championship drought because of the apparent solving of the murder of Tupac Shakur.

Not a day goes by that the Dallas Cowboys aren't mocked for some reason, whether it be their recent loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week, or their long-standing NFC Championship and Super Bowl drought ... which now has something to do, meme-wise, with Tupac.

That very drought has been going on since the 1995 regular season when they won the NFC title en route to a Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, there was another significant occurrence that happened in 1996, and one of the most important moments in hip-hop culture; the death of rapper Tupac Shakur.

The drive-by killing of Shakur has gone unsolved for all these years ... until now. According to a report by the AP, a man by the name of Duane “Keffe D” Davis is being tabbed as the "shot caller" and was arrested and charged with the murder.

And right on time, NFL fans (and Tupac fans?) took to Twitter to bring up the Cowboys' drought. Fans have taken this opportunity to point out that law enforcement solved the "unsolvable" mystery of Shakur's killing before Dallas re-appeared as a champion.

It's a harsh yet true fact for Cowboys' fans, and a drought that they are hoping to end this year as Dallas now sits at 2-1 while still harboring title dreams.

Dallas is also hoping to bounce back from their embarrassing loss to a Cardinals team that is widely viewed as the worst in the NFL. The Cowboys will have the opportunity to do just that, as they are set to host the New England Patriots (1-2) on Sunday. ... hoping to somehow put some memes behind them while putting up wins on the standings scoreboard.
