Super Bowl BREAKING: How Serious Are Deebo Samuel & Dre Greenlaw Injuries for 49ers vs. Chiefs?
LAS VEGAS - The San Francisco 49ers are clinging to their 10-6 lead in the third quarter of this remarkably low scoring Super Bowl here in Las Vegas … and are trying to do so with injury issues involving two of their best players.
Niners wide receiver Deebo Samuel fell to the ground in a heap while running a route on third down in the third quarter, and he had to be helped off the field with a leg injury.
The team later announced that Deebo is dealing with a left hamstring injury and is questionable to return.
Samuel to this point had recorded two catches for 24 yards before departing with the injury.
San Francisco led the Kansas City Chiefs 10-3 at the time Samuel exited the game.
Even more serious; The Niners had already lost starting linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the first half on what was later reported to be a torn Achilles. … all on a freak injury as all he was doing was preparing to jog off the sideline and onto the field.
