Taylor Swift Pep-Talks Tony Romo: Cowboys Ex Fist-Bumps Chiefs Pop Star
FRISCO - Tony Romo (an icon to many Dallas Cowboys fans) and Taylor Swift (an icon to many, period) have found themselves in headlines together often, mostly because Romo is obliged to comment on her presence when his CBS Sports cameras focus on the pop star during Kansas City Chiefs games.
But on Sunday, they actually interacted, and shared a fist-bump postgame moment on the field after the AFC Championship Game, won by the Chiefs, 17-10 - and her boyfriend, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce - in Baltimore.
Swift and Romo exchanged pleasantries words during the AFC Championship Game trophy ceremony after the defending champ Chiefs dispatched the home-standing Ravens to once against advance to The Big Game.
As overheard by our friend, Yahoo! Sports' Jori Epstein ...
"Taylor Swift told Tony Romo he does a great job. Sounded like he told her she’s even better, to which she replied: “We’re doing very different things, aren’t we? It’s a different skill set.”
It is "different'' ... but there are similarities. Romo finds himself "on stage'' for three hours every Sunday afternoon, with maybe 30 or 40 million people watching. And Swift is "on stage'' for her famously lengthy and entertaining concerts, and of course "Swifties'' number in the millions as well.

And now they move on, with the San Francisco 49ers representing the NFC and the Chiefs repping the AFC in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas in two weeks ... and yes, both Swift and Romo will again be in the house.
She'll reportedly zip into town following her concert in Japan the night before. And he'll be setting up shop all week in Vegas as Romo will be on the call again in the Super Bowl, working the game for CBS. ... trying to live up to Taylor's "great job!'' evaluation.
