He's Still 'That Aaron Donald!' Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott Scouts Rams 'Game-Wrecker'
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys won their most recent matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, 20-17 on the road.
Up next, they will look to keep the good times rolling as they face a Los Angeles Rams team that features standout defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
And Prescott could hardly have more respect for who he is going up against. The former Mississippi State signal-caller was asked in a recent meeting with the media if he still believes Donald, a veteran, is still "that Aaron Donald."
"(Bleep) yeah he is," Prescott responded. "He’s a talent. He’s still the focus … A player of a generation. Having played against him now for a while, he can ruin a game, so you’ve got to give him focus.”
Donald has had a largely successful career and currently totals 29 combined tackles (14 solo) and 2.5 sacks over the past seven games he has played in.
And even though he's very much in the back half of his career, he's still a player teams have to keep tabs on to have a successful outing on offense when they face the Rams.
Offensive guard Zack Martin had equal praise for Donald.
"He can do everything," he said. "When you turn the tape on, he's a game-wrecker ... He's not a huge guy, but he's got a lot of explosiveness and power. He's got pretty much every move in the book."
Prescott and his offense are no stranger to just what Donald is capable of.
The last time the Cowboys faced him, Donald record two sacks and a forced fumble in Dallas' 22-10 victory over Los Angeles. He's known for his uncanny ability to put pressure on the quarterback and that's not changed this season as he totals 29 pressures, tied for the league lead for defensive tackles.
The Cowboys have a lot of things to keep on at the front of their minds in this game, but knowing where 99 is at will be of paramount importance.
