Tom Landry on 'Mount Rushmore' - Chiefs Andy Reid Joins Cowboys Legend with Super Bowl Win

The Chiefs' Andy Reid joins Bill Belichick, Don Shula and the iconic Cowboys boss Tom Landry as NFL head coaches with 200-plus wins and two-plus Super Bowl titles.

FRISCO - To Dallas Cowboys fans, Tom Landry is in a class by himself.

But technically, according to one impressive set of numbers, he's in a class with three other highly successful coaches - now including Kansas City Chiefs boss Andy Reid.

By virtue of his win over the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Reid has just elevated himself to another level as joins three other legendary coaches on a plateau in NFL history thanks to the victory.

That plateau?

Reid joins Bill Belichick, Don Shula and the iconic Landry as NFL head coaches with 200-plus wins and two-plus Super Bowl titles.

Landry has of course long been a "Mount Rushmore'' face when it comes to coaching legends. Same with Shula. There is no denying Belichick belongs there.

And certainly there is every reason for Reid to now be a part of that conversation as well.

Interestingly, the Eagles team that the Chiefs just took down once employed Reid, and he oversaw an impressive run there before Philly opted to make a change. Reid coach the Eagles from 1999-2012 before taking over in Kansas City in 2013 ... at which time the Chiefs started replicating his previous success.

Reid and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2019 and now they've done it again, and with their almost-perennial trips to the AFC title game - with QB Patrick Mahomes the centerpiece - Kansas City is about as close to "dynastic'' as this NFL allows ... "dynastic'' as Belichick's Patriots once were.

Oh, and as the Cowboys and the rest of the NFL chase 2023 success, the Chiefs probably aren't going away.

“I think I’m going to hang around,” said Reid, 64, said of his coaching future. ... which is bad news for his foes but good news for the coaching "Mount Rushmore.''
