Von Miller Faces Arrest in Dallas on Charge of Assault of Pregnant Girlfriend
FRISCO - A warrant has been issued by Dallas Police for the arrest of NFL star Von Miller, as his longtime girlfriend is charging the Buffalo Bills standout with domestic violence - and more specifically, reports WFAA on Thursday morning, of what will be a charge of an assault against a pregnant person.
Sources tell WFAA that Miller's girlfriend says the assault took place at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. The report adds that the attorney for Miller, 34 - a DeSoto native who starred at Texas A&M and has won Super Bowls with the Broncos and the Rams - has been contacted about the case and about a warrant having been issued.
The charge of assaulting a pregnant person is a third-degree felony, which in Texas, if found guilty, can mean a sentence of two years to 10 years in prison.
Miller, a popular NFL figure who has forged for himself a Hall of Fame-level career, is currently a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills. They are now on a bye, which explains Miller’s presence back here in his DFW hometown area.
There is now a statement issued from the Bills:
“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”
