Cowboys Nation Plans Takeover at Carolina Panthers: Dallas FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys Nation has a grand plan. And so the Carolina Panthers are responding with an unusual plan.
"I think everyone knows how well Dallas travels," said Panthers coach Frank Reich, speaking to how Cowboys fans show up for games even away from AT&T Stadium. "We have a great city that other teams' fans like to come to. We're prepared, we practiced silent count this week if we have to use it. We're prepared either way."
Whoa. Wait a second. What did he say? "We have a great city blah blah blah ...'' No. Not that part; with all due respect to Charlotte, North Carolina, it is not known as a top NFL fans mecca.
No, the "silent count'' part. The Panthers are openly admitting that Sunday's Week 11 visit from the 6-3 Cowboys to Bank of America Stadium home of the 1-8 Panthers is going to have the vibe and the noise that will make it sound like an "America's Team'' home game. en masse for their Week 11 showdown on Sunday.
Cowboys at Panthers FINAL Injury Report, How to Watch, Odds
As we discuss below in the Fish Podcast ... Dallas has had its road problems. While the Cowboys have won 12 straight at home, they are just 5-8 dating back to last year on the road. Of course, a big part of that relative skid is about the opponents; during that time, Dallas has played multiple games against fellow NFC powers the Eagles and the Niners.
The Panthers, of course, do not qualify as an "NFC power'' ... and so it seems Carolina is conceding that on Sunday in Charlotte, the "power'' belongs to Cowboys Nation.
