FRISCO - "Can This Marriage Be Saved?'' The Dallas Cowboys' loss Sunday to the San Francisco 49ers was ugly on the scoreboard. But it was also ugly on the sideline.

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb on numerous occasions demonstrated visible frustration during the 42-10 blowout last week on "Sunday Night Football'' ... forcing the guys inside the building at The Star to address it ... and forcing the media to ask about it.

Is there an issue with the relationship between Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott?

“CeeDee is a guy that I’ll never lose confidence in and trust who he is and understand why he’s frustrated,'' Prescott said. "But at the end of the day, he’s a leader. It’s about him leading other guys and picking other guys up and him just trying to make sure we’re all pushing our best.

"That’s where the frustration, we have to remove that.''

That is a subtle but strong message; Prescott is essentially saying that Lamb (who caught just four balls in that game) needs to mature beyond such behavior. Fortunately, Lamb has essentially agreed, himself saying, "I had time to self-reflect. I didn't go the best route to get my end result. At the end of the day, I do have a job to do. I want to contribute to this team and I'll do anything in my power week in and week out."

And in the end, Prescott urged Lamb to come to him next time to discuss any issues ... and indeed, this week, they did have a private meeting, as did coach Mike McCarthy and Lamb.

So, does the two having "The Talk'' fix everything for the 3-2 Cowboys, who might very well feel like they need to get the Pro Bowl receiver more involved going forward, starting on "Monday Night Football'' against the Los Angeles Chargers?
