Report: Dallas Cowboys Think Trade for Bears’ Jaylon Johnson ‘Price is Wrong!’ FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys have an injury issue in the offensive line due to the status of Tyron Smith, the sort that a conversation with the Denver Broncos might solve. They have acknowledged needs on defense, the sort that Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson might solve. And to many in the media and in the Cowboys Nation fan base, an upgrade at running back and at wide receiver would also offer solutions.

Regarding Johnson: All semantics aside, the Cowboys are aware of what Chicago is doing with Johnson. Indeed, Josina Anderson is reporting that Dallas thinks “the price is wrong” here. (We’re told a second-round pick gets the conversation rolling.)
Meanwhile … Does Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy think his 5-2 Cowboys need to make a deal?
"We have a personnel meeting today," he said on Monday. "But I'm the wrong person to ask that. I'm about the development of the men in the building. I just strongly believe in that. I'm not sitting here with my fingers crossed hoping that we trade for somebody. That's my personal feeling. I believe in the men we have."
And from owner Jerry Jones, with his usual word salad? First, Jerry said on Sunday, "I think it's fair, accurate to say that it doesn't look like we'll be doing anything.''
But then ... let the recorders and the cameras and the pens keep working ...
"But we've done it on a shorter notice than what we're dealing with here," he added.
