Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks Injury Update: Tyron Smith, Zack Martin Sit OUT - FISH PODCAST

FRISCO - In a trend that Dallas Cowboys players are absolutely taking positive note of, head coach Mike McCarthy - as a way of helping the team survive its annual Thanksgiving crunch of games - is again managing the practice week ...

But ordering certain key players to not practice.

Dallas is coming off back-to-back weeks in which they easily dismissed opponents in the form of the Carolina Panthers and the Washington Commanders. But now the level of competition changes, starting Thursday night at AT&T Stadium when a playoff team from a year ago, the Seattle Seahawks, roll into DFW for a nationally televised game.

And rested and ready figure to be future Hall of Fame offensive linemen Tyron Smith and Zack Martin, who on Monday here at The Star were DNP's for practice. They sat out for this day, will eventually participate in this week's "mock game'' (McCarthy's version of a walkthrough) and then will hopefully lead Dak Prescott and Dallas' "Texas Coast Offense'' to continued success against a Seattle team that has lost two straight to drop to 6-5.

The Monday injury report for the Cowboys did include a couple of minor concerns ...

Though it is good news on safety Jayron Kearse as he returned to practice while he works through his back issue. He was listed as "limited,'' as was running back Rico Dowdle (ankle). Defensive end Dante Fowler missed practice with an illness.
